How do diamond tools actually work?

Diamonds do not cut. They grind the material they come into contact with into a fine powder.
1. Grinding is done through exposed diamond crystals, which are held in place by a metal matrix or bond. When the blade rotates on concrete, the exposed diamond grind concrete.
2. The exposed diamond begins to crack and break after passing through concrete surface thousands of times. At the same time, the bonds began to wear out.
3. In the end, the diamond is completely broken and washed away by the material being ground. 
4. Once the diamond is pulled out, the bond will continue to wear and expose new diamonds. This cycle keeps repeating.
